Hidden Beaches
Some of the most beautiful beaches on Koh Phangan lie away from the most frequented routes. Spread along the northern and eastern coasts, they offer a more natural side of the island — fishing villages, tropical jungle and unspoiled bays.

Haad Khom & Bottle Beach
Located on the north coast of Koh Phangan, Haad Khom and Bottle Beach are among the most remarkable beaches on the island.
Haad Khom is a small, peaceful bay appreciated for its clear water, shallow reef and natural surroundings. It is also one of the closest points to Bottle Beach — a beach that has become iconic for its preserved environment and relative isolation.
Accessible by longtail boat from the fishing village of Chaloklum, Bottle Beach remains one of the wildest beaches on Koh Phangan. Its wide strip of sand, bordered by hills covered in tropical vegetation, makes it an ideal destination for a half-day excursion. The more adventurous can also reach the beach on foot via trails that cross the heights of the north coast, before returning by boat.

Haad Yuan, Haad Tien & Haad Wai Nam
East of Haad Rin, several beaches remain accessible primarily by sea. Taking a longtail boat is one of the best ways to discover Haad Yuan, Haad Tien and Haad Wai Nam in a single day.
Haad Yuan is known for its wide bay surrounded by tropical hills. Further north, Haad Tien offers a wilder setting where the vegetation descends almost to the sand. Haad Wai Nam, more discreet, retains a relaxed atmosphere that contrasts with the busier parts of the island.
Connected by sea and a few coastal trails, these three beaches allow you to discover a part of Koh Phangan that many visitors never take the time to explore. From Villa Altura, a private boat can be arranged on request to reach the most secluded coves directly.

Than Sadet
On the east coast, Than Sadet combines beach, river and tropical forest in a single landscape. Located within a protected area, this bay is known for its waterfalls, rock formations and preserved natural environment.
The road leading there crosses one of the least developed regions of the island, offering a glimpse of Koh Phangan at its most authentic. After a walk along the waterfalls or the surrounding trails, the beach is an ideal place to enjoy the calm of this still largely unspoiled coastline.

The Wild Coast
Between Than Sadet and the south-eastern beaches stretch several kilometres of hills covered in tropical jungle. This part of Koh Phangan remains one of the least urbanised on the island, and still hides many coves accessible only by boat or along little-frequented trails.
Despite the development of the island in recent years, this coastline has retained a wild character. Between jungle, isolated beaches and spectacular ridges plunging into the sea, it is a reminder of the Koh Phangan that many travellers came looking for before the island became a destination known the world over.
